1 dead,2 injured in fire in Jammu

The fire engulfed the entire area housing over 35 animals,including over 25 bovines.

One person was killed and two others injured in a fire in the border area of Jammu district today,police said here.

The incident took place in a grass-cowshed of Roshan Din,a Gujjar,in Arnia border belt of the district,they said.

The fire engulfed the entire area housing over 35 animals,including over 25 bovines,they said.

Din,who was caught in the fire,died,while his two sons Hafeez and Imran were injured,they said. Over 15 bovines also perished in the fire.

Police and locals rushed to the spot and managed to extinguish the fire after over two hours,they said.
