Having booked the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) member and president of the Akali Dal Panch Pardhani Kulbir Singh Barapind under sedition charges, the Jalandhar police is only now consulting an expert on whether the materials recovered from Barapinds home are grounds for the sedition charges.
The police recovered calendars, magazines, booklets, pamphlets CDs from Barapinds home during last Fridays raid and have sent it to an expert to establish which one comes under sedition.
DIG (Jalandhar) Loknath Angra said that a list of literature recovered from Barapinds home has also been sent to the expert. However,it is learnt that some of the literature recovered from Barapinds house is already in the public domain and even available in books shops and distributed in many gurdwaras.
