Cops bust flesh trade racket,one arrested

The Jalandhar Police has claimed to have busted a flesh trade racket,in which,an agent allegedly lured young girls,aged 16 to 25,by promising them jobs in Singapore and Malaysia and then pushed them into prostitution.

The Jalandhar Police has claimed to have busted a flesh trade racket,in which,an agent allegedly lured young girls,aged 16 to 25,by promising them jobs in Singapore and Malaysia and then pushed them into prostitution. Police said one such victim managed to return from Singapore and then cast light on the racket.

The CIA staff police of Jalandhar investigated the matter and has arrested David Hans,a resident of Lamma Pind. Inspector Kewal Krishan,incharge,CIA staff,said Hans confessed to having sent over 20 girls to Singapore and Malaysia on the promise of providing them good jobs. Police,however,suspect that the number of victims could be higher. Police have also recovered two original passports,three copies of passports and around a dozen photos of girls from Hans’ possession.

Inspector Krishan further said that Hans targeted girls from the lower and lower middle class and after taking their parents into confidence and got them passports at his own expense. According to the police,the girls would have their portfolios made and sent abroad. The accused would then pay the girls’ families around Rs 40,000 as a month’s advance salary.

As per the police Hans had connections abroad and had named others involved in the flesh trade racket.
