Patidar quota agitation spearhead Hardik Patel has alleged he has been “wrongfully” put under house arrest by the Udaipur police, which dismissed the charge saying it was acting as per the Gujarat High Court order.

Hardik, 23, is living in Udaipur after he was asked by the high court to stay out of Gujarat for six months while granting him conditional bail in two sedition cases.

In a complaint filed with a local police station in Udaipur, Hardik accused senior police officers, including the IG and the SP, of wrongfully confining him to his accommodation by misinterpreting the high court order.

Hardik forwarded the complaint to Pratap Nagar police station by post and it was received a couple of days ago.

“The police officers have blocked my freedom, restrained my free movements, confined me and put me under the ‘house arrest’. They have wrongfully restrained me and prevented me to move in any direction beyond circumscribing limits of my house and confined me in the house by applying force,” Patel wrote in the compliant.

He alleged the court order was being “deliberately, illegally and malafidely misinterpreted by Udaipur police.”

Hardik is staying at the residence of former Congress MLA Pushkar Dangi in Srinath Colony since July 17. He has been asked by local police not to step out of the house, except for going to the local police station to mark his presence weekly.

“The complaint was received a couple of days back and was initially put up for a probe but since everything is going as per the order passed by the Gujarat high court, the complaint was disposed of,” Deputy SP (Udaipur East) Bhagwat Singh said.

The complaint was against seven police officers including IG, SP, Additional SP, Deputy SP.

I personally request you to p this message to as many people as you can .lt;br/gt;A JUDGE OF THE GUJARAT HIGH COURT FACES IMPEACHMENT BY PARLIAMENT :lt;br/gt;A distinguished Parsi judge of the Gujarat High Court, Justice J B Pardiwala made the following remarks in his recent judgement in Hardik Patel case on Reservations. Unfortunately our law makers are going to impeach him for this para. Let's see what he said and decide :lt;br/gt;"If I am asked by any one to name two things, which has destro this country or rather, has not allowed the country, to progress in the right direction, then the same is, (i) Reservation and (ii) Corruption. It is very shameful for any citizen of this country to ask for reservation after 65 years of independence. When our Consution was framed, it was understood that the reservation would remain for a period of 10 years, but unfortunately, it has continued even after 65 years of independence. The biggest threats, today, for the country is corruption. The countrymen should rise and fight against corruption at all levels, rather than shedding blood and indulging in violence for the reservation. The reservation has only pla the role of an amoeboid monster sowing seeds of discord amongst the people. The importance of merit, in any society, cannot be understated.lt;br/gt;One has to wonder why is he going to be impeached by MPs (mostly Congress MPs) . lt;br/gt;(The MPs who signed the peion include Anand Sharma, Digvijay Singh, Ashwani Kumar, P L Punia, Rajeev Shukla, Oscar Fernandes, Ambika Soni, B K Hariprasad (all Congress), D Raja (CPI), K N Balagopal (CPI-M), Sharad Yadav (JD-U), S C Misra and Narinder Kumar Kashyap (BSP), Tiruchi Siva (DMK) and D P Tripathi (NCP)).lt;br/gt;YOU DON'T HAVE TO CANDLE MARCH to SUPPORT THE JUDGE. Just SPREAD THE WORD BY SHARING THIS WITH YOUR WHATSAPP FRIENDS, IF YOU CAN. That's minimum we can do to SUPPORT the OUTSPOKEN JUDGE.lt;br/gt;Forward as received
