samajwadi party, Mulayam Singh Yadav, Akhilesh Yadav, shivpal yadav, Samajwadi Party, SP feud, Shivpal Yadav, SP meeting, SP news, UP politics, UP news, India news, latest news, Indian express Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav offered to resign yesterday but Mulayam Singh, though visibly upset with his son, turned it down.

Refusing to delve too deeply into the Yadav clan war tormenting the Samajwadi Party (SP), Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Venkaiah Naidu on Tuesday made a pun saying that “dynasty in democracy is nasty, but tasty to some people”, but added that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would like to steer clear from the family dispute as it was an ‘internal matter’. “Have no comment to make it is an internal problem. As I always say, dynasty in democracy is nasty, but tasty to some people. But we don’t want to fish in the troubled waters. We don’t want to say anything on it. People are seeing what is happening and they will decide and act what to do,” Naidu told the media here.

Talking about the BJP’s campaign to come to power in Uttar Pradesh, the Union Minister emphasised that the state was lagging behind while the country was moving forward and called on the people of the state to support BJP in the upcoming elections.

“UP, as the PM said yesterday, has to be converted into Uttam Pradesh and only BJP can do that. And a big state like UP lagging behind in development, it’s no good for the country. The country is moving forward and UP is lagging, that’s why people need to support BJP in the coming round of elections,” he said.

Yesterday, cornering the Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party, Prime Minister Modi urged the nation to break the cycle of the two parties to make Uttar Pradesh an “Uttam Pradesh”.

“The Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party both loot in their own turns, and when the other comes to power they never take action against the other. SP-BSP-BSP-SP. The power keeps shifting, and in this game, this land never reached its potential. You have faced enough. If you want to escape this trap then you need to get out of this trap of Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party. Let’s break the cycle of SP-BSP and choose instead to make Uttar Pradesh an “Uttam Pradesh”,” Prime Minister Modi said while addressing a rally in Mahoba, a district in Bundelkhand here.

He said he has requested the citizens to dedicate message and a well wish for all the jawans and security forces this Diwali. Escalating his attack on the Samajwadi Party, the Prime Minister said the farmers in Mahoba have faced grave injustice as this land is capable of reaping gold but farmers got no water.

Expressing confidence, Prime Minister Modi said the people would give absolute majority to the Bharatiya Janata Party in the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. Taking a jibe at both the Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party, the Prime Minister said: “On one side, there are those who want to save their family. On the other side, there are those who just want power. While, we are those who just want to save Uttar Pradesh. This land of Uttar Pradesh is our mother, and we won’t let our mother be looted anymore.”

It is true that with the majority of seats won by BJP, dynastic representation in parliament has declined. Nevertheless, for a party that claims to be non-dynastic, the significant presence of dynastic politics in the BJP is remarkable: 15% of BJP MPs, and 24% of its cabinet, are dynastic."lt;br/gt;

            Even with a late patch-up within SP, it is advantage BSP in the poll. Hindi dailies in UP report on desertions from SP to Congress in Western UP. A couple of such papers predict the following result: BSP: 145, BJP 110, Cong 90, SP 50! Others 8. The survey was done last week. So it's a hung embly. BJP to be hit by lack of CM face and SP to plummet to lowly 50 due to schism.
