Vehicle of Jharkhand CM’s press advisor taken away at gunpoint

The place where the accused forced the driver out of the vehicle was nearly 5 km from where the car was hijacked.

Unidentified persons forcibly took away the vehicle of Yogesh Kislay, press advisor to Jharkhand CM Raghubar Das, in Ashok Nagar area in Ranchi late on Wednesday evening.

Police have registered an FIR and an alert has been sounded.

According to police, Kislay’s driver Jitendra was behind the wheel when four-five persons intercepted the vehicle near his home in Ashok Nagar. “The Press Advisor was not in the car at the time. The driver had taken the vehicle, an Innova, to his home for some purpose. Near his home, some persons intercepted the car at gunpoint and got in. They then forced Jitendra to drive towards Doranda before forcing him out and fleeing. A case has been registered at Argora police station. Further investigations are on,” said Ranchi SP (City) Kaushal Kishore.
