Two held for carrying beef in Vadodara

The two persons, Aamir Qasim Sheikh and Saddam Belim, were arrested while they were reportedly transporting about 104 kg of beef in Sheikh’s autorickshaw.

Two persons were arrested in Harni, in Vadodara, Sunday for alleged possession of beef. The duo were released after a local court granted conditional bail on Monday.

The two persons, Aamir Qasim Sheikh and Saddam Belim, were arrested while they were reportedly transporting about 104 kg of beef in Sheikh’s autorickshaw.

The action was taken based on a complaint filed by activist Neha Patel, who said the accused were involved in regular transport and sale of beef.
