IAF’s Mi 17 chopper crashes near Badrinath in Uttarakhand

A Mi 17 chopper belonging to the Indian Air Force has crashed near Mana Pass in Uttarakhand, according to television reports. The chopper caught fire on take off. The helicopter was taking part in a drill with the Kumaon Regiment, initial reports said and had officers of 12 Grenadiers, who were practising inter-valley movement at Ghastoli helipad that’s located between Badrinath and Mana Pass. It was not immediately known how many were in the Indian Air Force Mi 17 chopper, but no one was injured. The chopper reportedly took off and and crashed soon after.

    It seems our Air Force and Navy are competing with each other in claiming who sets the worst record for destroying whatever ets we have.. Reflects the horrible state of affairs.. If this happens during non-combat time,one can imagine the catastrophe during a combat time.
