India and US will work together in areas where “interests overlap” to pursue regional and global security issues, US Defence Secretary Ashton Carter said as he commenced his three-day visit to India Sunday. “We have so many activities that we will be doing together, to help secure this and other part of the world with India. Of course, India has its own interest to pursue, but our interests overlap in many ways and where they do overlap the Minister (Manohar Parrikar) and I will work together,” he said.
Carter added that both countries were now jointly reflecting on the possibility of ‘Make in India’ policy in defence production.
