Uri terror attack: Rahul Gandhi condemns attack, expresses condolences to families of martyrs

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on condemned the terror attack in Uri, Jammu Kashmir that left seventeen army jawans martyred. Four terrorists were killed in the attack.

“Strongly condemn the militant attack on Army base in Uri. My heartfelt condolences to the families of the bravehearts martyred in the attack,” Rahul tweeted this morning.

The attack took place at around 5 am this morning post which the Indian Army launched a counter attack. The attack in Uri took place at the rear office of the infantry battalion.

Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar will visit Uri on Sunday along with COAS Gen Dalbir Singh. Home Minister Rajnath Singh will hold a high-level review meeting at his residence in New Delhi. The attack, that has left 17 jawans dead, is the worst attack in recent times, in terms of casualties.
