US National Security Advisor Susan Rice called NSA Ajit Doval on Thursday and condemned the Uri terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, in which 18 soldiers died. She offered condolences to the victims and their families.

“Ambassador Rice reiterated our expectation that Pakistan take effective action to combat UN-designated terrorist entities, including LeT, JeM, and affiliates,” said Ned Price, Spokesperson of National Security Council.

“Highlighting the danger that cross-border terrorism poses to the region, she also affirmed President Barack Obama’s commitment to redouble efforts to bring to justice the perpetrators of terrorism throughout the world,” Price added. In the meantime, US has advised India to not escalate the situation with Pakistan even as India explores a whole host of diplomatic options to isolate Islamabad.

The Indian Express had reported earlier that US Secretary of State John Kerry has had ‘two conversations’ with External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj over the last ‘two days’ on the issue. According to sources, this was reportedly the first time that US has spoken to the Indian leadership on the issue at a political level.

US’ condemnation of Pakistan’s terror groups comes in the wake of the recent September 8 terrorist attack in Uri, Jammu and Kashmir, where 18 Indian soldiers were killed by Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists.

The Uri attack came amid a long drawn phase of violence in Kashmir Valley after the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani by security forces on July 8 that resulted in the deaths of around 90 people.

are we talking of nations? . . s are no nation at all . . . it is run by arms exporting corporations . . .and is 'the state' a nation? . .it is just a extended dominion which has found ways to collect all people in the world, give citizenship and put them to slave for military budgets and corporate frauds . . . we should not compete the industrialized after seeing that the greed of m production can replace humans at workforce, make them redundant and still expect them to buy the products of m production. India does cannot have such superfluous money to support the arms and wars.

Actions of isolation cannot be taken immediately without prior warnings as per by international abiding law of justice,-----similar to actions taken against Saddam Hussein of prior warnings to stop infiltration in Kuwait which Saddam ignored and than action was taken after 3 months of warning and Saddam became a history,---SUA and INDIA are applying the same steps as per by law abiding procedures whic porkistanis keeps ignoring,----sooner or later NAMAZ sharif and his porkistanis will witness the same fate as Saddam.

US must stop advising India and start working with stan. Mr Obama just proved his incompetence or unwillingness to take action stan. If it doesn't want to act then shouldn't stop India from taking action against stan. Mr Obama didn't lose his own family in terrorism in Afghanistan, India or Bangladesh otherwise he wouldn't have spoken of restraint. The current situation also points fingers at one more question and that is of Osama Bin Laden. Seems like Mr Obama orchestrated the 2 May episode at Abbottabad with the help of Pak generals to win his second terms - and in truth Osama is still alive and in some corner (obscurity with blessing of US and stan) after a deal with US and stan to leave him alone in return of decline of Al-Qaeda. India mustn't listen to US even if it means to dump some of the US contracts to p the message. We ratified the US-China led Paris agreement and in return we continue to face problems from stan (a country who US continues to provide money and weaponry) ... Just like India is giving out a message to stan so should we to US ..
