The LDF government Monday replaced DGP (Law and Order) T P Senkumar and Vigilance Director N Sankar Reddy. DGP (Jail) Loknath Behera will be the new DGP (Law and Order) and Jacob Thomas the Vigilance Director.

The seniormost IPS officer in the rank of DGP, Senkumar’s term was ending in June 2017. He was shifted as the managing director of Kerala Police Housing Construction Corporation, a post held by Thomas. Senkumar had allegedly joined hands with the previous UDF regime to target Thomas, who had apparently been sidelined by the Congress for his stand against corruption.
