Police Thursday arrested five “known stone pelters” in connection with the burning of a school in Baramulla district. The middle school was set on fire last month.

SSP Imtiyaz Hussain said, “The probe revealed that the conspiracy was hatched at the medical shop of Ajaz Ahmad Parra with Omar Parra, Shabir Pandit and Bashir Ahmad Hajam.”

He said they got petrol from a petrol pump, put it in bottles and gave them to Naveed Ahmad, Adil Ahmad Parra and Usman. The trio allegedly set the school on fire.

“These individuals are known stone-pelters and are wanted in many related cases,” he said. Naveed and Usman are absconding. “A search is on for the other accused,” he said.

Well if they are known stone peters what kept our 'agile' Kashmiri Police from arresting them. Every Kashmiri should be ashamed for hampering children's education. These perpetrators must be punished as quickly as possible.
