Philanthropist Parmeshwar Godrej, wife of Adi Godrej, passed away on Monday night at Breach Candy Hospital. Godrej, aged 70, Parmeshwar had been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital and was undergoing treatment for degenerative lung disease for quite a while.
Parmeshwar was famous for her philanthropist work. She, along with Hollywood actor Richard Gere, had launched the ‘Heroes Project’ in 2004 to spread awareness about HIV/AIDS in India which received support from organisations like Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Clinton Global Initiative.
She is survived by her husband Adi, and three children Nisa, Pirojsha, and Tanya Dubash.
