Patiala House Court Tuesday dismissed the fake degree case against Union Minister Smriti Irani where the complainant alleged that she had provided false information regarding her educational qualifications in her affidavit to the Election Commission of India.

Refusing to summon Irani in the fake degree case, the court dismissed it on the ground that there was a 11-year delay in filing the complaint and the lack of original documents available with the Delhi University. The court also observed that the complaint was filed to harass Irani only because she is a central minister. Irani’s educational qualifications came under scanner after she contested the 2004 and 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

According to the affidavit submitted by Irani before the EC, she completed her BA course from Delhi University in 1996. Following a court order, DU claimed that the documents relating to her course were yet to be found. The controversy surrounding her education degree arose when a freelance writer filed a case in June, claiming that Irani had provided contradictory affidavits about her educational qualifications during different election years.

Some Deepak may be sitting or not in USA want to add his rubbish comments about the judiciary in India knowing little about its working. Is he a big judicial expert or eminent lawyer there? Perhaps a fugitive from law or like die hard other Khujli frustered slaves who stated ranting when they get big hit in their back from courts or Administeration. Time is not far when such persons will be chased by the people on the streets.

Justice system has given a ruling, that should be questioned in a democracy. Of course there is no degree where will it come from.lt;br/gt;lt;br/gt; Law should be just and equal.

This judge is likely to get plump post after retirement like ex apex court judge Sadasivam for his favorable verdict awarded to a ruling elite. National shame.

So what the court is saying is that give a lie eleven years, it turns into truth? This woman is occupying a position of great responsibility on the basis of falsehood. Her punishment should have been double. Government of fekus, for fekus, by fekus.

This matter should be taken up in the higher court. She shouldn't be allowed to go scot free. Perhaps, they are afraid tomorrow Modi may also have to be summoned in case a case is lodged against his dubious degrees.

If not a pre requisite in running for office, then no need of verification. Such cases should be dismissed and that is waste of tax payers money. This should be applicable for all political parties.

The crooked Congress people are unhappy with what the Modi government has done for India in its time, now they are nitpicking things of no value. Smriti is a very smart person, India is lucky to have a lady with such high abilities, she can speak in many languages with fluency and authority, Modi could not have picked a better person for the job. The Indian courts finally realized that the Congress has been denied any part in the government to run their schemes of corruption, so they are now attacking the Ministers of the Government with useless talk and trash. Wonder if Rahul actually went to the perimeter of Harvard!!!!

This is an amazing judgement. The logic is seemly mind-boggling. I hope the peioner will be punished for filing a complaint when it is clearly obvious that such a degree does not exist. Filing a peion involving a non-existent degree is clearly an anti-national act. BMKJ.
