The CITY police have registered an offence against around 50 Shiv Sena workers after some of them threw ink at the joint managing director of the Pune Mahanagar Pariwahan Mahamandal Ltd (PMPML) during an agitation on Monday.

According to the police, the Sena workers, led by a few local leaders, had gone to the PMPML office to talk to the officers about allegations in connection to accepting the discontinued Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes. Around noon, PMPML joint managing director DG More came out to talk to them.
“While More was discussing the issue, some workers threw ink at him suddenly. We have registered an offence against Sena leaders and workers.” said PSI SB Gurav of Swargate police station. Some of those booked have been identified as Sachin Taware, Shrikant Pujari, Sachin Nigde and Sandeep Gaikwad.
