A 30-YEAR-OLD woman was allegedly gangraped inside a private bus by the bus conductor and helper in Shishgarh town, about 50 kilometres from Bareilly, on Monday night. During the scuffle, the woman’s 15-day-old son reportedly fell from her lap and died.

The bus conductor, Ishwari Prasad, and helper, Shiv Kumar, both residents of Bareilly district, have been arrested and booked under IPC Sections 376-D (gangrape) and 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder).

According to the police, the incident occurred at the bus station in Shishgarh, at about 9:30 pm. The woman was on her way to Rampur, via Bareilly.

Bareilly Additional SP (Rural) Yamuna Prasad said the woman, a resident of Rampur, had gone to Shishgarh to visit her sister.

“Her child had been sick for sometime and she went to visit her sister to meet a tantrik. She was returning to Rampur when she met the two accused at the bus station. She was allegedly raped inside the bus at the bus station. Later, she found her child dead,” said Prasad.

He said the woman lodged a police complaint on Tuesday morning, after which an FIR was registered and the accused persons were arrested. The woman has been sent for medical examination, said Prasad, adding that they are yet to get the infant’s autopsy report.

The woman’s husband works as a labourer in Rampur, said police.

Shishgarh station officer Surendra Singh Panwar said the woman had left her home in Rampur district a few days ago. The woman was returning from Khajuria village in Shahi police station area, where her sister lives.

“She reached Shishgarh on Monday evening. At the bus station, from where she was to catch a bus to Bareilly, she met the two accused,” he said.

The word "politicians" includes BJP politicians too. You lament about the common man. In every society there are leaders and followers. The common man is being lead by the demogogues listed under the guise of democracy , freedom of speech - whayever you want to call it. Democracies faults are visible in India and you can see Trump in the USA. To become a taxi driver in London you have to clear the "knowledge" test. If you are unaware, please google it. To become a politician in India, you nedd money and an army of thugs. The common man has to follow (or else). Whete else will a State member of the embly pay a courtesy vidit to a convicted killer in jail. It is because of this no holds barred thuggery that the common man dies not open his mouth. He needs to live. The only option is to disaualify al these thugs from entering leadership positions. Who will do this in a parliament full of the same thugs? We have twosted ourselves into knots and painted ourselves into a corner , by adopting a constututional system which guarantees universal suffrage which is clearly not working. As long as this continues, India will remain a functioning anarchy.

India cannot stoop lower. Politicians please continue collecting votes on the basis of caste . Pander to minorities. Women please continue fighting for the right to enter Shani temple. JNU students shout and scream about Afzal Guru and Kasab Guru. Pressutes continue to support vulgar anarchy as freedom of speech. Congis and Commies - Dont let parliament function. Continue to destroy. How sad these creatures are aulting India while there is no one to even lament this barbarity.

There is no strict and rigorous implementation as such. What is needed is taking every such case to logical conclusion in the fast track court only and with the most longer term of sentence possible. This means deciding in month's time, bringing the faces of culprits in public... very important. They or family members could face backlash... but then there is no justification for the insult of womanhood, and the death of 15-day infant.

Rape and kill, rape and kill, Just to get a criminal thrill, In a bus is just as good, As a house or in a room, Kill the baby, who should care, Justice is not just or fair, Takes a year or two just to decide, If there is proof for the plaintiff's side.
