Shakti Bhatt Foundation invites entries for its ‘2016 First Book Prize’

Only books that are published in India will be eligible for entry.

The Shakti Bhatt foundation has announced that it is inviting entries for its 2016 Shakti Bhatt first Book Prize. The prize was launched in 2008 in memory of young author Shakti Bhatt to encourage budding writers accross the sub-continent.

The winners will be awarded with a trophy and prize money of Rs 2 Lakh. The statement issued by Shakti Bhatt Foundation said that it is inviting entries in various categories like poetry, fiction, graphic novels, creative non-fiction and drama. The last date for submissions is July 15 and winners will be announced in November.

Only books that are published in India will be eligible for entry and they must be written in english or translated to english from any local language.
