After a break, Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann ‘returned’ to political programmes Tuesday, when visited villages in Sunam to campaign in support of AAP candidate Aman Arora. Mann after organising major rallies in different constituencies of Punjab was seen for the first time at village-level campaign ahead of the 2017 assembly polls.

Mann visited Bijalpur, Sangreli, Nagra, Eelwal, Suiaan and Badrukhan. Mann was seen in his campaign van, which, according to him, was gifted to the party by the AAP Vancouver branch at Baghapurana rally. And in almost all the villages, Mann was seen focusing on the “strength ‘ of the party as he said,”No doubt, a few broomsticks have fell apart from the broom, but it is still a broom and it is capable of cleaning up the corrupt system.”

“The village level contact programme will continue,” he added.

Mann, when asked the controversies faced by AAP in recent weeks, said,”Publicity is always beneficial for the party —at least someone is talking about us. So at the grassroots level, when I meet the villagers, they are more bothered about their jobs, NREGA wages rather than the charges being levelled by rivals against our party.”
