A man allegedly killed his minor daughters in Sangrur on Tuesday. According to the police, the accused Gora Singh (25) allegedly had an affair with his sister-in-law and wanted to “get rid of his daughters before divorcing his wife.”
The incident happened in Fatehgarh village. Gora allegedly took the girls Mamni (4) and Kaku (2) out on the pretext of registering them for Aadhar. He allegedly killed them by strangulation in his farm and cremated them quietly.
DSP Dirba Jasvir Singh confirmed the case and added that Gora’s sister-in-law Rani was also booked in the case for conspiring to kill the two children. In the first information report (FIR), Gora has been booked along with village sarpanch and Gora’s brother Sukhdeep Singh, and their cousin Kulwinder Singh for allegedly destroying evidence. All accused are absconding
Police lodged FIR on the basis of complaint given by Kuldeep Singh, Nambardaar of the village, as Gora’s wife was in a state of shock after the murder.
Gora was married for five years. When the alleged affair with Rani was found out, his wife wanted to divorce him, said the DSP.
