The Samajwadi Party witnessed infighting among it’s own leaders recently after Akhilesh Yadav removed uncle Shivpal from his cabinet following which senior leader Ram Gopal Yadav was sacked from the party by Mulayam. Ram Gopal was seen as a close confidante of Akhilesh.

Lalu Yadav, who reached Lucknow on Friday for the event, told the media that they will drag out BJP from Uttar Pradesh like they did in Bihar. Meanwhile, Sharad Yadav said that there was no plan to form a ‘grand alliance’ in UP yet. Uttar Pradesh will go to polls next year.

Due to the utter neglect and indifference to the burning imperative of uplifting their mor and ignorance ridden societies, and an unstoppable love of frivolties even in politics, democracy has not helped the states of UP (and Bihar). It is a great pity that their mes are unable to understand that electing opportunist parties to form alliances and collectively pursue selfish interests to the exclusion of development and social welfare, they have lost too dearly in every sense of good governance and large numbers of the people are comfortable and contented with merely migrating for jobs to other states. This trend cannot continue as there is a scarcity of jobs of many kinds in the states where they go without minding their exploitation with low wages offered and unsatisfactory living conditions. It is a highly deplorable scenario all the more given the resourcefulness and willingness to learn skills and focus on developing tgeir rich natural resources for developing their educational, health and industrial capacity to the full potential.
