Youth must be told to say ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’: RSS chief

RSS, RSS sedition, RSS anti national, Mohan Bhagwat, RSS JNU, RSS JNU row “Now the time has come when we have to tell the new generation to chant ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ (hail mother India). It should be real, spontaneous and part of all-round development of the youth,” said Mohan Bhagwat.

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Thursday said the new generation needs to be taught to chant slogans hailing mother India, comments that come against the backdrop of a raging row over alleged anti-India sloganeering on the JNU campus.

“Now the time has come when we have to tell the new generation to chant ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ (hail mother India). It should be real, spontaneous and part of all-round development of the youth,” he said.

Bhagwat, without making any direct reference to the JNU controversy, said this is necessary as “some forces” are telling the youth not to say “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”. The Delhi-based Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) hit the headlines in early February when a group of students allegedly raised anti-India slogans during an event organised on the death anniversary of Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru.

Police later filed a sedition case in which three students, including the JNU students union president Kanhaiya Kumar were arrested. Bhagwat was speaking at RSS headquarters in Reshimbagh during an award giving function. On the occasion, the RSS chief presented “Matrashakti” award to social activist Sindhutai Sapkal.

I dont think Bharat is my mother. I have only one mother. Even cow is also not my mother. I love my country and say Jai Hind or Hindustan Zindabad. It is a matter of choice. No one can force me to chant against my will. Sare Jahan se achcha hindostan hamara.

There is small problem here which Mohan Bhagwat knows about but will not address because addressing it goes against his agenda. The problem is subtle diffrence between saying Bharat ki jai jai and saying Bharat Mata ki Jai. For an Indian muslim and a Christian (less for a christian because some of us dont worry too much about compromising with the Bible) saying Bharat ki jai will not be a problem. But the movement you say Bharat Mata ki jai, it becomes a major issue. The problem here is not that Muslims or Christians hate India, or that they hate the idea of India. The problem here is a bit deeper. Bharat Mata is an idol, Hinduism as a religion has no problem with creating and worshiping idols. But the movement you force a Muslim or a Christian to say Bharat Mata ki jai, you are forcing him to acknowledge an idol. You are asking him to go against Quran/Bible, something which he cannot do. Mohat Bhagwat ji, your followers might not know the truth, but you do. Stop spreading hate. Tell people to say Bharat ki jai, something which will not create religious and communal tensions but alas doing so will be against your agenda of dividing India. First you will force Muslims to say Bharat Mata ki jai, when they refuse you will call them traitor and stani traitor. So the only option left for a true Muslim will be to leave Quran or to be bed as a Traitor. Shame on you.

I will say Bharat Mata ki jai if the upper caste people and moronic Sanghis start to give respect to Mothers, fathers and sisters of dalits, tribals and minorities. As Kanhaiya Kumar says - If the concept of your Bharat Mata does not includes my Mata i have no reason to believe in the concept of Bharat Mata Sanghis want us to believe.
