Rajnath Singh speaks to Mehbooba Mufti about Kashmir situation

Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday had a telephonic conversation with Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, during which the prevailing situation in the state is learnt to have been discussed.

The conversation, incidentally, took place a day after Mehbooba told reporters that security men involved in the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani on July 8 had no idea that he was one of the three militants they were targeting.

While details of the conversation was not known, sources said that the situation in the state following the violent protests over Wani’s death was discussed.
