“The woman has alleged she was raped by Meena at his residence. Twelve others have been named in the FIR,” he said.
The woman has also named her relatives in the FIR, and accused her husband of being in connivance with the accused. The police said the MLA had been booked under IPC Sections 376 D (gangrape), 366 (kidnapping), 344 (wrongful confinement for 10 or more days) and 323 (voluntarily causing hurt).
Meena said he had “never known or seen the woman”.
“I have been holding huge rallies and this is bothering certain politicians. This is purely a political conspiracy and character assassination,” the MLA said. The complaint has been referred to CIB-CD for further investigation.
