Rajasthan: 3-year-old falls into open borewell near her house

A three-year-old girl fell into an open borewell while playing outside her house in Dausa district of Rajasthan on Sunday afternoon, police said.

The NDRF and the Army were called in, and rescue efforts were on till late evening.

“Jyoti Meena (3) was playing when she fell into an open borewell around 1.30 pm,” said Dausa Additional SP Anil Kyal. “The depth of the borewell is about 250 feet and she is stuck at about 60 feet,” Kyal said.

Her parents were nearby when she slipped, he added. The NDRF from Ajmer and the Army were called in late Sunday evening.
