Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray Thursday took on the judiciary, questioning the restrictions being put on Hindu festivals.

“Why are such restriction being placed only on Hindu festivals? Why has the court put so many restrictions on celebrating Dahi Handi? Why are similar restrictions not placed on the Moharram procession?” the MNS chief said at a hurriedly called press conference.

Thackeray claimed that people have have been taking cognizance of noise pollution during Hindu festivals but are mum when it comes to speaking out against speakers installed on mosques. “They have placed restrictions on Dahi Handi. Tomorrow they will place restrictions on Ganesh festival and Navratri,” said Thackeray.

    I agree with Raj Thakre. He has guts to raise such issues. It may be politics or Judiciary or seculars or journalists, all prefer to question hindus only as it is safe. No one dares to question muslims or Christians as they will rdtaliate. They prefer to play safe. Bravo Raj.

    Navratri already has restrictions Unlike Shivaji Jayanti and Ambedkar Jayanti which starts at Night 0000 hrs and continues till they want at and also During Ambedkar jayanti loud speakers are on for 4-5 days without Time Limit

    daily 5 times they can shout (if uses mic, it will not be considered as prayer, whatever religion), distrubing schools, hospitals and old age homes (so many) no, we judges will not care for that, we condemn/criticise only Hindu outfits
