Member of Awaaz-e-Punjab and suspended SAD MLA Pargat Singh Friday met suspended Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Dr Dharamvira Gandhi to invite him to join the newly launched forum.

Pargat Singh released the photographs of the meeting late this evening with Dr Gandhi on his Facebook page and also released a statement in which Dr Gandhi expressed solidarity with the new forum.

In the statement, Dr Gandhi was quoted as saying the aims of the forum were laudable and that the people of the state needed leaders of credibility. He was also quoted as expressing his support for the forum.

Meanwhile, there were also reports that the former AAP convenor Sucha Singh Chhotepur had met Dr Gandhi and that he too would be joining the new forum soon.

When asked about Chhotepur’s imminent joining, Simarjit Singh Bains, independent MLA from Ludhiana and Awaaz-e-Punjab members, said that Chhotepur was indeed in touch with them but it was too early to say if he would be joining them.
