Many SAD leaders in touch with fourth front, says Pargat Singh

When asked how many SAD MLAs may join them, he said, “There are leaders who are no more happy with the functioning of SAD and are feeling suffocated there.”

Suspended SAD MLA and one of the founder members of the fourth front Awaaz-e-Punjab, Pargat Singh Sunday claimed that there are several sitting Akali Dal MLAs and leaders who are in touch with them and that they may join the front in the coming weeks.

“I have been meeting several people in Punjab which include leaders from SAD and Congress parties,” he said while speaking to The Indian Express. “We have been meeting many good, sincere and honest people who are really interested in bringing a positive change in the state and soon a platform would be ready to go ahead with our political agenda,” he added.

When asked how many SAD MLAs may join them, he said, “There are leaders who are no more happy with the functioning of SAD and are feeling suffocated there.”

He said that the front does not belong to a single person and that all want to work together as a ‘one single unit’ by leaving petty interests aside.

Taking a dig at the Aam Aadmi Party, he said, “In AAP, most of the leaders have their sight on posts and they want to fulfil their petty interests. There is hardly any difference between AAP and the other political parties except that others are making a fool of the uneducated and poor people while AAP is cheating the educated and the intellectual lot of the state,” Pargat said.
