Punjab elections: Congress’s new campaign to kick off from September 19

Each of the 117 assembly segments will be covered at least thrice and five programmes will be held in the constituencies.

The Congress party in Punjab is all set to kick off its Ghar Ghar Congress campaign by sending special buses to every doorstep in 13 Lok Sabha segments carrying messages from the party. The decision was taken at a meeting presided over by Captain Amarinder SIngh, in Chandigarh on Monday.

The campaign will kick off on September 19. Each bus, having a cut out of Punjab Congress chief Captain Amarinder Singh and the party’s flag and symbol, will carry three leaders each and reach out to at least 20 lakh people in 40 days across the state.

Each of the 117 assembly segments will be covered at least thrice and five programmes will be held in the constituencies.

The meeting was also attended by AICC-in-charge for Punjab, Asha Kumari, Secretary-in-charge Harish Chaudhary, Rajinder Kaur Bhattal, CLP leader Charanjit Singh Channi, senior leaders Laal Singh, Rana Gurjeet and MPs Ravneet Singh Bittu and Chaudhary Santok.
