Taking serious note of the recent squabble between Jalandhar BJP Mayor Sunil Jyoti and senior SAD Deputy Mayor Kamajit Bhatia, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in a meeting Monday, which lasted for nearly five hours, cautioned SAD-BJP leaders against criticising each other and avoid posting objectionable posts on the social media.

Attended by BJP’s crore group, including MLAs, MPs and Mayors of five districts, Jaitley instructed the Mayors to give respect to the MLAs of their areas and to fast-track the works being which are being conducted.

Urging them to be aware of the fourth political front, he asked party workers not to give much weightage to Sidhu couple ahead of the elections. Talks of exchanging some BJP seats with SAD were also held in the meeting.

Shifting the focus on ‘booth level preparations’ and ‘internal groupism’, Jaitley asked leaders to tell the grassroots level workers to highlight the achievements of the Modi-led NDA government in each and every house along with the development works being done by the state government.
