Pune: Thieves steal tree from Khadki Cantonment Board CEO’s house

Khadki Police have booked unidentified thieves who cut and stole a sandalwood tree from the official residence of the Chief Executive Officer of Khadki Cantonment Board. An FIR has been filed by Janed Ranjan Jhenda (38), who is employed as security guard at the resident of CEO Amol Jagtap. As per the complaint, the thieves struck on the intervening night of September 2 and 3. “It’s a sprawling premise and we are trying to find out how he managed to escape with the tree trunk which was at least 4 foot in length with a big diameter,” said a police sub-inspector who is investigating the case.
