City-based builder Avinash Bhosale has filed a Rs 400 crore suit against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national executive member Preeti Sharma Menon and three others for the allegations they made against him. The suit which was filed before Justice S H Salunkhe civil judge, Senior Division, in Pune on Friday has alleged that Sharma Menon and others made false allegations.

Sharma Menon along with Pune based anti-corruption activist Rajesh Bajaj and others had addressed a press conference in the city a few weeks ago where they alleged that former revenue minister Eknath Khadse had favoured Bhosale in his case regarding the payment of Nazrana (government cess) of a plot of land in Pune. The plot of land is in Shivajinagar and Sharma Menon had alleged that Khadse showed Bhosale undue favours and exempted him from paying Nazrana.

Refuting all the allegations, Bhosale in his suit said he had nothing to do with the plot. His suit also claims that competent authorities have found nothing wrong in the transaction. Summons have been issued in the case

Sharma Menon said “AAP is not affected by these things. We will continue our job of exposing corruption and crony capitalism.”
