Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said “enemies of humanity” who could not digest India’s progress carried out the attack in Pathankot.

Modi assured that the defence forces had the strength to defeat “the evil designs of our enemy.”

“…our security forces did not let them succeed: Proud of our jawans and security forces,” he said, referring to Pakistani terrorists’ pre-dawn strike at the Indian Air Force base at Pathankot in Punjab.

The fierce gunbattle claimed the lives of three security men, while five infiltrators were killed, with the terror strike coming days after Modi’s surprise stopover in Lahore in signs of thawing of relations with Pakistan.

“Today, enemies of humanity who can’t see India progress tried to strike at our strategic area, a prominent airbase at Pathankot. I appreciate our armed forces and thank them for foiling our enemy’s attempt,” Modi said, adding “our security forces did not let them succeed.”

“I want to assure our countrymen that our armed forces have the strength to defeat the evil designs of our enemy,” he said.

“I feel proud of our armed forces”, said the Prime Minister in his speech at the birth centenary celebrations of Dr Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji of Suttur Mutt which runs a string of educational institutions benefiting nearly a lakh students.

In his speech at the event, Modi said the 21st century is the century of knowledge.

“The one with more knowledge and information will influence the world”, he said.

It is the saints who have understood what the 21st century is about, said the Prime Minister as he laid the foundation for a Knowledge Resource Centre at the Mutt.

“…rishis, saints, seers, Mutts…they have done so much for society. Sadly, some people have only believed in criticising,” Modi said.

“These saints, seers…they overcame so much opposition and ensured evils were removed from society: Whenever the need came, a new strength always emerged from our society…,” Modi said.

Speaking at another event, Modi said work of saints, seers and rishis had always been for the welfare of society.

The seers and saints do not tom tom about their efforts as they feel it was part of their duty to work for the welfare of the society, he said during his visit to Avadhoota Datta Peetham, an ashram founded by Sree Ganapati Sachchidananda Swamiji, here, which is engaged in spiritual and welfare activities.

Modi, on a two-day visit to Karnataka, will inaugurate the annual Indian Science Congress here tomorrow as part of his engagements that also include laying the foundation stone for a helicopter manufacturing facility of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited in Tumkuru district tomorrow.

He can demonstrate his words of appreciation by implementing the OROP true to its accepted definition and reviewing the PMR clause. Has he got the guts to override his FM?

If he is truthful to his words of "thanks giving" to the Armed Forces, long back he might have honoured his own promise on OROP unconditionally. Instead he brought in the new PMS/VRS subsection for the future veterans. Mr Modi lost the confidence of the people when he said that he promised OROP not knowing the implications; are all his dreams too are such mirages?

It's great to be proud but why does it take several hours to kill 5 killers. The longer our forces take to deal with such incidences the more these terrorists will be motivated. Why can't we use or purchase better equipment and technology to finish them in just few. We shouldn't be losing our soldiers to kill 4-5.

Why is the crouching, dokhla-eating Gujjubhai whose chin touches his chest, photoshopped to pink colour? Is he ashamed of his black colour? The crouching, dokhla-eating Gujjubhai whose chin touches his chest, is not educated. All he is qualified for is to sell chai and dokhla at the railway stations. Unfortunately 31% of Indians have elected the uneducated dokhla-eating Gujjubhai to a major role that he is not competent to have. As everyone knows, to hide his lack of education, he has appointed equally uneducated people to the cabinet positions. Now all that the crouching, dokhla-eating Gujjubhai whose chin touches his chest, wants is to take selfies with the goras. He runs after the goras for selfies. None of the prime ministers in our neighbourhood will run shamelessly after the goras for the selfies, since they are educated. Can it get any more disgusting?

A very Sincere suggestion to Mr Nawaz Sherif , Prime Minister of stan. Allow the Indian Army to Flush out Terrorist from your Land. Our Army can do it. You have admitted that controlling and Neutralising Terrorism is out of your Control. We can free you from the Devil which you have specially created to destroy India but in the process your Devil has grown more than you thought. Our PM Modi had made a great Statement during the General elections in the year 2014 and that is " Sab ka saat Sab Ka Vikas". Therefore take our Suggestion very Seriously as our Armed forces can not only Neutralize Terrorism but can ensure smooth process for Good Governance and Development for People of stan, which they are completely unaware. So Respected Sir all you have to is call up our PM Modi and ask for help to Neutralize Terrorism which was cherished and Nurtured by Respective government in your country.
