Justice Ajay Kumar Mittal, Executive Chairman of Haryana State Legal Services Authority, on Saturday visited the Legal Awareness Stall at Mata Mansa Devi Temple in Pachkula. Under the aegis of Haryana State Legal Services Authority and District Legal Services Authority, Panchkula has been spreading legal awareness messaged and also making people aware of socio-legal issues at the legal awareness stall. “Panel advocates, para-legal volunteers, law students and students legal literacy clubs are taking part in the campaign.
It further said that students of Students Legal Literacy Clubs, formed under the Students Legal Literacy Mission of HALSA, also displayed their paintings at the stall on various social issues to spread awareness.
Justice Mittal, who saw the various paintings on socio-legal issues, told students to protect and improve the environment and discharge other fundamental duties towards nation. “People in large numbers are visiting the stall and seeking legal advice from the panel advocates deputed at the stall,” said the statement, adding that a national lok adalat regarding Motor vehicle act case was also organized in which 222 cases were disposed of in the district court of Panchkula and 2,500 cases were disposed of through a court in Haryana.
