Alarmed by the escalation of tension with India along the LoC, Pakistan on Thursday asked the UN to act before the situation snowballs into a “full-fledged crisis”. Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UN Maleeha Lodhi met the Deputy UN Secretary General Jan Eliasson and the Chef de Cabinet of the Secretary General Edmond Mulet during which she alleged that the situation along the Line of Control (LoC) posed a “grave threat to international peace and security”.

Lodhi, according to a statement issued by the Permanent Mission of Pakistan to the UN, in her meeting with UN officials alleged that escalating tensions on the LoC “was a deliberate attempt” by India to “divert the attention of the international community from the gross human right violations being committed” by it in Kashmir.

Alleging that the attack on an ambulance trying to evacuate the injured was a particularly “abhorrent act” that was a breach of the most fundamental legal and humanitarian laws, Lodhi urged the UN to act before the escalating tensions snowball into a full-fledged crisis.

The UN Department of Peace Keeping Operations was separately asked to mobilise United Nations Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) to effectively monitor the LoC and the Working Boundary as a step to help deescalate tensions between India and Pakistan, a statement said.

Pakistan Army on Wednesday said seven persons, including three of its soldiers, were killed in an exchange of fire with Indian troops on the LoC.

The clash occurred a day after India warned of retribution after losing three soldiers in Pakistan firing and after Pakistan on Wednesday rejected as “false” and “baseless” the charges that the body of an Indian soldier was mutilated by Pakistani soldiers in a cross LoC-attack.

BJP has to move on from this stan infatuation and whatever. Please move on, stanis bank on this purpose to form some equation with India. It is about time Indians think of India in terms of its size and potential - not history. Cease this stan business - move on. Once you ignore stanis, they will cease to matter that much. Nigerian economy is greater than the stani economy.

Freaks. I find their attempt to depict a high moral standing disgusting. I hope India blows that country to the stars and bends their arrogant necks to a mirror that shows their true nature and state, without the illusion of this holier than thou self perception that they have with conspiracy theories. lt;br/gt;lt;br/gt;I utterly wish stani pride is broken and they are made to accept realities as they are. But this should be done without blood thirst and actually beheading their soldiers.

I don't. I hate all those who treat human lives as if they were expendable. Whether Indian or whatever, if you consider life to be expendable, you have to be eroded, at least, in significance.

I wish stani pride is broken, their elites are made to bend. I hope stani arrogance is smashed to smithereens.lt;br/gt;lt;br/gt;But all this - only with truth. Nothing else, but the truth. Truth without their conspiracy business. India and stan are not equal, stan does not balance South Asia, it only balances with Afghanistan, a country that has failed. lt;br/gt;lt;br/gt;India is not at stan's level, this has to be rammed home. But their pride has to be broken, this demands business has gone on long enough.

India has to break the stani pride and arrogance by denying them equation. That said, stan is not at parity with India - they have to be shown the mirror. The trouble with this right wing government is they are obsessed with the stanis. India has to move on from stan if it wants to do bigger things. Look to China, dump stan.lt;br/gt;lt;br/gt;It's a rubbish e, stan is just one big garbage bin. Disgusting people.
