Pakistan is not worried at all about any threat from India and its “battle hardened” military is capable of responding to aggression, air force chief Marshal Sohail Aman said on Thursday. “We are not worried about India at all,” the Air Chief said, speaking at the ninth International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS). He said it is better if India showed restraint and solved the Kashmir issue to prevent escalation of tension.

“India should show restraint and instead solve the issue of Kashmir as that would be better for them,” he was quoted as saying by the Express Tribune.

Aman said that Pakistan does not want war but cannot ignore this kind of pressure. “We are well capable of responding in the face of any aggression,” he asserted.

He said Pakistan had “readied all of its (battle) plans following threats from India” after the terror attack in Uri sector. The Air chief asserted that Pakistan, engaged in Operation Zarb-e-Azab, has a “battle hardened military” to respond to threats.

The air chief’s remarks came a day after Pakistan claimed that Indian forces targeted a passenger bus in PoK killing at least nine people and wounding another nine.

It also claimed that seven Indian troops were killed in retaliatory fire when India opened fire on the Line of Control (LoC) and killed three Pakistani soldiers.

Indian Army on Wednesday launched a counter offensive against Pakistan along the LoC after three Indian soldiers were killed, with body of one of them mutilated in a cross-LoC attack, even as Pakistani troops continued to shell Indian positions, injuring six jawans.

Earlier on Thursday, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said Pakistan will not tolerate “deliberate targeting” of innocent civilians particularly children and women, ambulances and civilian transport. “Pakistan has exercised maximum restraint despite continuing ceasefire violations from Indian security forces along LoC,” he added.

In 1971 war Pak had Sabre jets which were far sophisticated than inferior Indian British Gnats. Those Gnats had inflicted immense damage to Sabre jets. Merely by having the best equipments won't make you winner. Pak top military personnel may be basking in some false glory. So enjoy dreaming .

I doubt their airforce will even see action. Any conflict will not escalate to that level anyway.

My money is on India, numbers don't lie, hard victory, but it will be an inevitable Indian victory - only fools argue with numbers.

It is easy to bark from one's own den. Facts are, s have less than 20 days of oil reserves, their troops are battle weary fighting their own countrymen, their planes are sub-standard Chinese make and Raheel Sharif and their air boss still continue to fool their public.

They learned a new phrase -battle gardened. Using helicopter gunships against baluch and pakhtuns doesnt count. Getting its rear kicked by india during Kargil has just hardened its shamelessness.

What a joke? s are saying maximum restrain by Pak army. Can you believe it? s continue to bombard in order to let the terrorists in and when Indian army responds they start crying. The barbarian atude of s jihadi and army is not hidden. Pak a bankrupt country and now challenging India for a war. Do not worry you coward a real war will happen if s continue to send terrorists across. s use them as freedom fighters in disguise. What happened to those freedom fighters in Balochistan, Karachi and Pasthun. s are playing very dangerous game with India and sooner or later they will realise the softly approach of corrupt Congress is gone and they are dealing with PM Modi government. s had a chance to settle peacefully but they back stabbed and they must pay for their misadventure. The people of India want Modi to destroy Pak completely and you be ready for it.
