On Thursday morning, TMC Rajya Sabha MP Dereck O’brien visited the ex-serviceman’s family in Haryana. Grewal’s body will be cremated at his hometown Bhiwani later today. Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar has sought details of the incident from the department of ex-servicemen welfare. “Saddened by the death of subedar Ram Kishen Grewal. I express my heartfelt condolences. I have asked officials to provide me with details,” Parrikar tweeted.

Earlier, Parrikar emphasised that the government was committed to the welfare of ex-servicemen and said a total of Rs 5,507.47 crore has been disbursed under the scheme. Giving details of the OROP implementation, Parrikar said there were 20,63,763 beneficiaries before July 2014 and that 19,12,520 pensioners have been paid the first installment and 1,50,313 cases are pending verification and authentication of beneficiaries. Meanwhile, a massive political storm has broken out over Grewal’s death as parties are joining forces to come down heavily on the Centre over the delay in the implementation of OROP.

There was a news report that the funeral has more political crowd than the service men. Shame on rahul and kejri to make the event more crowded. It is shame that you were smiling in the funeral and posing for selfie which otherwise no sensible person does in such sad events. Even grewal's son said that it was so crowded that they could not do the rituals properly and move freely.

He took loans from everywhere possible for his life beyond his capacity. There are millions in India, who are not able to survive and live within the resources available to them. Does it mean, they all commit suicide? Are there not lakhs of disgruntled retired people from Defence and other para military Forces? If they all commit suicide after taking loans from Banks and others, will Kejriwal and others give them 1 crore each? Those who rushed to Hospital and for cremation, forgetting those bravehearts, fighting at the border in rain and snow, need to apologize to the nation. Each Indian take them to heart embrace each of them for their brave hearts. Govt MUST bring up a Bill in Parliament, which bans the politicians from pulling in the Defence Force names into their vote ambitions. It should be explicitly clear to everyone that Central govt is the custodian of all the central departments, ministries, Forces and what they do, is at the orders of the Govt in power. Those who have not seen even a .303 rifle, talk of ambu1sh, raid and surgical strikes ! What do these goons know of Defense? Shame .. !

What we see now, said to be, for 'victims', is cry for power. They are not able to live without power. It is soo tasty and sweet to be in power, misusing all the tools of govt, aming money and property, with absolutely no work, except shouting 'zindabad'. People should kick them out, who are against the country and argue for terrorists, stan and China. Enough is enough.
