With the party office in Mahja already occupied by supporters of Sucha Singh Chhotepur, Gurpreet Singh Ghuggi, the recently appointed state convenor of AAP, will have to look out for a new office in the area.

The three zonal offices of AAP located in Gurdaspur, Amritsar and Khadoor Sahib.

Notably, the three zonal officers Amandeep Singh, Gurinder Singh and Advocate Iqbal Singh who are in charge of Gurdaspur, Amritsar and Khadoor Sahib respectively have already come forward and extended their support to Chhotepur.

“We had established these offices in the times when no one was ready to rent out their building to AAP to run the office. The party never helped us financially to establish and run the office. It was all the hard work of the volunteers that these offices were established. It helped the party to strengthen its roots in Mahja. Now, once again the party has reached the stage from where it had started. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has no offices in Mahja to run their party activities,” said Gurinder.

In Amritsar, 86 office bearers, including wing senior vice president, joint secretary, general sectary, sector incharges and circle incharges who attended the press conference of AAP and extended their support to Chhotepur have also resigned from their posts.

Ghuggi, whose native district is Gurdaspur, will now have to restructure the party in Mahja as majority of party office bearers were appointed on recommendation of Chhotepur, who is going to launch his Punjab tour from here from Tuesday to seek advise of volunteers to chalk out the next political strategy.
