NSG dog wounded in Pathankot attack gets commendation

The two-and-a-half-year-old trained Belgian Malinois is a soldier of the NSG’s K9 (canine) unit, basedin Manesar.

Rocket, an NSG dog who burnt his paws while entering a burning billet during the Pathankot air base attack, has been awarded the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) commendation for courage and obedience.

The two-and-a-half-year-old trained Belgian Malinois is a soldier of the NSG’s K9 (canine) unit, basedin Manesar.
Rocket had entered the burning airmen billet and brought back a pouch, which indicated the presence of terrorists.
