To enable the police force and the administration to effectively combat the challenges posed by naxalites, the Maharashtra government Tuesday, decided to set up a special training institute at Nagpur. The state government will operate and oversee its functioning and an IPS officer will be specially deployed.
The Counter-Insurgency and Anti- Terrorism School will be set up at Suraburdi in Nagpur, will impart unconventional training to police force who have many challenges in the region.
