After months of speculation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inducted new ministers in his Cabinet at a ceremony held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

The Narendra Modi government was expected to bring in nineteen new faces, along with a minor reshuffle in the existing council. The top four – Finance, Home, External Affairs and Defence – were not touched.

The reshuffle was done keeping in mind the upcoming UP elections.

Sushma Swaraj tweeted earlier in the day about her being unable to attend the cabinet reshuffle ceremony and followed it up with an advice to the media.
