As the day began with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday today, wishes started pouring from leaders across the country and world.

While Modi began the day by visiting his mother in Hiraba in Gujarat, wishes for his birthday started coming in soon after the clock struck 12. Most people showered him with wishes on Twitter.

In Gandhinagar, the Chief Justice of India TS Thakur also met PM Narendra Modi at Raj Bhawan. He greeted him on his birthday and presented him with flowers.

President Pranab Mukherjee greeted him with a series of tweets.

Members of the BJP and other ministers like Sushma Swaraj, Amit Shah, Vijay Rupani, Smriti Irani, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, M Venkaiah Naidu, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi among others extended their greetings, in words and pictures. Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi also wished PM Modi.

From the business world Apple CEO Tim Cook, Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, CEO of Biocon, and TV Mohandas Pai wished the Prime Minister a happy birthday.

The sports fraternity of India also rallied for him, with wishes pouring in from Saina Nehwal, Vijender Singh, Virender Sehwag.

TV news anchor Rajdeep Sardesai too extended his greetings.

On his 66th birthday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will announce projects worth nearly Rs. 3,800 crore t Limkheda in Dahod district of Gujarat.
