Hailing from Mudki village in Ferozepur district, Gurpreet Singh Sekhon (27) had done a course in flight stewardship. Member of a gang led by Jaipal and one of the main accused in the murder of gangster Sukha Kahlwan, he was booked under the Arms Act for the first time in 2007.

His family owns land and brick kilns. At present, he is facing 13 cases of murder and attempt to murder. A close aide of Vicky Gounder, another gangster who fled from Nabha jail, Sekhon was arrested in March last year by police in connection with a murder case in Faridkot district.
