Muktsar triple murder case: With no arrests yet, victim’s kin threatens suicide

Five days after three people were murdered in Muktsar’s Mallan village, police are still struggling to find any leads. Following this, family of deceased Nihang Naib Singh threatened to self-immolate on Monday.

On October 19, Nihang, and his relatives Harvinder Singh and Amritpal were murdered. Police have detained eight persons, but have not arrested anyone till now.

An FIR with murder charges had been lodged against 13 persons by name and 10 were unidentified. Among the accused is Satnam Singh Changiara – granthi of Gurdwara Ramsar where the crime took place. “I don’t want to comment upon what the family says, but our teams are on the job. We are interrogating those we have detained. We are yet to reach a conclusion as to whether they were involved in the crime or not.”
