Hitting out at the Centre’s move to demonetise high value currency notes, CM Akhilesh Yadav, on Wednesday said the focus needs to be on transactions. “Paisa kala safed nahi hota. Yeh humara aapka len dein kaisa hai woh kala safed hota hai. (Money is never black or white. Instead it is the transactions between us, which defines whether it is black or white),” said Akhilesh at the inauguration of Lok Bhavan, the new CM’s Secretariat.
“We have constructed expressway. We are going to launch Metro train. I believe that if you double the speed, you can triple the economy. But there are other people who are creating hurdles in the growth of economy. They are making economy complicated, which would in turn reduce the speed of growth,” said Akhilesh.
Later, he also laid the foundation stone for the Rs 1,600 crore Patanjali Food and Herbal Park to be established in Noida under the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority. Baba Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna of Patanjali were also present on the occasion.
