The Supreme Court Tuesday put in abeyance the bail granted to suspended RJD MLA Raj Ballabh Yadav to enable a minor rape victim to record her statement before a court in Bihar.
A bench of Justices A K Sikri and N V Ramana directed Yadav to surrender before the trial court within a day. It asked the trial court to record the statement of the minor within two weeks. The bench posted the matter for November 23.
The apex court had earlier rejected Yadav’s plea to remain outside Bihar till the victim deposed before the trial court.
