Extending support to striking MCD workers demanding dues, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today hoped that “some solution” will emerge after the High Court hears the matter next week.

MCD Strike: A Look At The Delhi Streets & Delhi Govt’s Response

“I support demand of protesting MCD employees that they shud get their full salaries. I hope some solution will emerge after Tue HC hearing,” Kejriwal, currently in Bangalore for naturopathy treatment, said on Twitter.

The Chief Minister also lauded personnel from the state’s public works department (PWD) for working the “whole night” to clear garbage and urged AAP functionaries to help the department men.

“I am told PWD people and trucks worked whole nite to clean up garbage. I wud urge all AAP volunteers to help PWD,” he said on the micro-blogging site, urging the PWD to “keep it up”.

The Government had yesterday deployed hundreds of PWD workers to lift garbage from across the city as nearly 60,000 civic sanitation workers continued their indefinite strike demanding payment of dues amid a blame game over the issue between AAP and BJP, which rules the three municipalities.

The strike was launched by sanitation workers on January 27, demanding timely salaries and payment of arrears.

While delhi stinks CM is busy getting mages in bangalore, anyone who knows ayurveda knows it doesnt cure fast.. So he could have cut hia visit short or dela it, but well aaps will not see anything wrong in it.. His big mouth opens for everything except his work that is in delhi.. doesnt have any portfolio atleast he could come and pick some garbage, atleast its similar to him.. The plan seems to be make delhiites uncomfortable and blame it on the centre, or act like a victim.. And the bhikari delhiites who voted for him will still see merit in his absence.. Pay delhi pay, pay for your stupidity..

Total mismanagement by MCDs which are under BJP. They cannot even give the accounts of money spent. In the next election BJP will be kicked out of MCDs as it was kicked out of embly

Kejri had ample time to resolve this issue..why would he wait until sanitation workers burn his effigy and dump garbage in front of sisodiyas office. As CM you should not make a reactive comment but prevent it from happening. Also at the same time center and modi and past Congress leaders are also responsible for this. Blame game that's the way to go before next term.

No sanitation workers were burning Kejriwal's effigy. It is BJP's proxy force who are creating nuisance.
