Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal Monday claimed that his deputy Manish Sisodia is likely to be arrested before the Punjab elections. He also alleged that the Centre was manipulating former Comptroller and Auditor General V K Shunglu to put the AAP government in a spot.

Jo pata chal raha hai, Shunglu Committee ne jaan boojh kar Manish (Sisodia) ko fasaane ki kosish ki hai… Shunglu ke upar DPS society ke president chunaav mein dhokha dhadi kar ke chairman banne ke liye ghaple ke aarop hai. DPS society mein paise ki hera pheri karne ke bhi aarop hai. (I have got to know that the Shunglu Committee has deliberately tried to trap Sisodia… Shunglu is facing allegation of rigging polls for the post of DPS society chairmanship. There are allegations that Shunglu has embezelled money from the society as well),” Kejriwal alleged.

The CM also claimed that a complaint regarding this was sent to the L-G and the Centre in May 2015. “Instead of acting on it, they called Shunglu and said you have to entrap this govt and we will save you… Now, irrespective of whatever he has written, everyone knows that we are an honest government. We too have sources and have been told that their next target is Sisodia. We welcome this as our 15 MLAs have been arrested but we demand that Shunglu too should be arrested,” demanded the CM.

Kejriwal added that his opponents will slap any fake charge to put Sisodia behind bars. “What are the charges against our MLAs?,” he asked.

Sources said the Shunglu committee report has delved into issues that were covered by the media on the alleged irregularities in appointments across various Delhi government departments.
