The accused, Mohammed Shahnawaz, who had been absconding since the incident, was arrested late Monday evening. He was nabbed him while he was trying to escape to Kasaragod in Kerala, they said.
The BBA student at the college had allegedly assaulted the college principal, Fr Michael Santhumayor, on October 20, when the latter told him that he would not be allowed to appear for examinations if he did not ensure adequate attendance in classes.
