A man has been booked for allegedly forging birth certificate of his son, who is facing charge of raping a minor girl, police said on Saturday. A case was registered against Manickrao Sadavarte under IPC section 420 (cheating), 465 (forgery), 468 (forgery for purpose of cheating) and 471 (using as genuine a forged) of the IPC for allegedly forging birth certificate of his son at Thane Nagar Police Station, they said.
